1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Glyco 8 (including our mobile applications, web portals, and telemetry services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the application.

2. User Responsibilities & Parameter Accuracy

The safety and accuracy of Glyco 8's calculation engine depends completely on the precision of the clinical parameters you configure in your profile. You agree to:

• Consult your endocrinologist or certified diabetes educator to obtain your personalized Insulin-to-Carb Ratios (ICR), Insulin Sensitivity Factors (ISF), Target Glucose, and Active Insulin Duration.
• Verify that your glucose unit (mg/dL or mmol/L) is set correctly for your country of residence.
• Always cross-check blood glucose readings with a certified fingerstick glucometer if CGM trend readings do not match your physical symptoms.
• Safeguard your account credentials and immediately notify us of any unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Glyco 8 offers both free core functionality and optional premium subscription tiers (Glyco 8 Pro) via Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing:

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Billing & Payment: Payment is charged directly to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your device settings (iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play Store → Account → Subscriptions).
• Refunds: All refund requests for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play must be handled directly through Apple or Google support in accordance with their respective refund policies.

4. Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) Integrations

Glyco 8 integrates with third-party continuous glucose monitoring systems (such as Dexcom Share) via official APIs. Glyco 8 is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Dexcom, Inc. or Medtronic plc. We do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity or real-time availability of third-party sensor cloud services.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All software, calculation algorithms, graphic user interfaces, trademarks, logos, and visual designs embodied in Glyco 8 are the proprietary property of Glyco 8 and its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial health management.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GLYCO 8 AND ITS SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF CALCULATION, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Glyco 8, its directors, developers, employees, or partners be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: (a) your use or inability to use the application; (b) any insulin dose administered based on application calculations; (c) third-party CGM sensor data delays or inaccuracies; or (d) unauthorized access to or alteration of your health data.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any dispute arising from your use of Glyco 8 shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
